God's Own Evangelistic Discipleship Ministry

We commenced the year with a time of corporate retreat that centered on understanding God's direction for us in the year, through corporate studying of His word, prayers and fasting. We are grateful to God for His blessing upon this effort. It was a time of refreshing and impartation. We always look forward to the retreat annually.

God's presence was made manifest in this outreach. The participants were blessed and imparted to take what belongs to them in God's divine plan. We thank God for journey mercy that was granted to all participants, Guest Speakers and the GOEDM team.

It has been 10 years that Pst. Joshua Okpanachi Adah was murdered. We celebrated 10 years of God's faithfulness to us as a ministry. A number of our partners were present for the memorial service during which some were awarded for their long-term consistency, while some converts were also appreciated for their consistency in serving the Lord.

Since the conclusion of this conference, there have been tremendous testimonies of transformation in Kona families. The converts learnt how to run their families, surrendering the leadership to Jesus Christ. They were also taught the issue of mutual submission and love as a major key to a peaceful family. They were more than happy to hear that it's going to be an annual programme.

During this year's edition of sport outreach, Kona and Mumuye youths were exposed to the truth of God's word, and this exposure made many of them to make fresh decision for Jesus. More youth were admitted into the football tournament this year, which means more souls were reached with the gospel of the kingdom. The discipleship centres organized for the converts from the sport outreach continues to hold every Sunday.

This major outreach of the year brought many souls to Jesus Christ. Many youths made pledges for deeper walk with Jesus, and deeper commitment to missions. Operation Caleb outreach to Sambe village witnessed the manifestation of the power and presence of God. Many of the natives gave their lives to Jesus, and were immediately handed over to the existing churches in the village for follow-up and discipleship.

The school arm of the ministry continues to provide free education with full boarding facility to rural children. The purpose is being achieved – more children are being discipled for Jesus, while their parents are being engaged with the gospel. The children can now distance themselves from alcohol and idol worshipping. Hundreds of these rural children were brought for admission every year, but we could only admit few tens that our facility can accommodate. We need more hostels to be able reach more children for Jesus. This year, many of our ex-students got admission into various universities and other tertiary institutions. Some of them who are now university graduates will be going for their NYSC in 2026. One of them completed her NYSC this year. All glory to Jesus Christ. Presently, there are over 270 pupils/students in the school. We trust God for provisions.

This follow-up effort yielded great fruit, as the ex-students were taught on the need to remain consistent in their walk with, and commitment to Jesus. The atmosphere of the retreat was friendly which made the participants to share freely their struggles. These were adequately addressed by Guest speakers. They were also helped to identify values that are relevant for their desired future as a youth. It was a life-transforming experience for all the ex-students who were in attendance. Many of them renewed their commitment to walk with Jesus and to mentorship.

Over 500 hundred inmates were reached with the love of Jesus through gift items like Bibles, footwears, toiletries, drinks, and food items. This outreach held simultaneously both in Jalingo, Taraba state, and Ankpa Kogi state. Our outreach team also visited the patients at the Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo with gift items. The expression of gratitude on the faces of the inmates, as well as the patients revealed their appreciation to God for His love. Many natives experienced the love of Jesus Christ at Kaudat villages as we shared the gift items for more 400 natives, as well as the gospel.

Three of our missionaries graduated from the Nigeria Evangelical Missionary Institute in 2025, having completed their one-year mission training in Cross-cultural missions. We trust God for more training opportunities for our missionaries. Two others completed their degree programme in Theological Education, while another two are almost through with their Master's degree in missions. We give God all the glory, and deeply appreciate the donors.
